“The Soul of Trempealeau”

Well, this has been a long-time comin' friends! Many of you have heard the story of our inspired idea to start an internet-streaming radio station out of the train caboose down at The Station on Main Street in Trempealeau…and it IS REALLY happening!!

Our founding crew has been working behind-the-scenes for months now laying down the tracks for this grand adventure, with the help of some super-cool radio partners, our friends at Happy Production Studios in Cambridge, MN! A partnership only possible through one of the DEECE-EST people we know, Gregg “Cheech” Hall, musician, promoter, teacher and connector of community awesomeness! What is Trempealeau Mountain Music?

Trempealeau Mountain Music (TMM), “The Soul of Trempealeau”, is a locally curated, universally connected, internet-streaming radio station housed in the train caboose down @ The Station in Trempealeau, Wisconsin’s Historic Downtown District. TMM is meant to serve our local communities within, but not limited to, Trempealeau County. We are delighted that the interest in our truly connective, open venture has already crossed miles, states and even countries thanks to other supportive, liked-minded souls who visit and indulge in our story and intentions for a meaningful, community endeavor! “Community and Local” now have more expansive definitions thanks to all of our new, far-flung radio-minded friends, as well as interested local folks right here.

TMM’s home, the train caboose on Main Street at The Station, will also house elements of a visitor’s center, as well as space for storytelling and other public recording. As we get a bit more track laid down, we will share details on TMM’s programming schedule, but we intend for a mix of talk and music, with as much locally-produced, locally-relevant content as possible.

Trempealeau Mountain Music is several souls’ calling for true connection and support of local creators and beyond, all through music and dialogue meant to appreciate, expand and elevate our own life experiences, as well as those of our listeners’. In short, we have a lot to share and hope you do too! Whether through music, art, stories, interviews, live shows, presentations, our life’s work…we all have experiences to share. Everyone’s story matters, and we hope those of you called to this mission are willing to share yours in cooperation with all of us at Trempealeau Mountain Music!

Our crew members all have robust, busy “day jobs”, and we are working feverishly in our spare time to bring TMM to life! How are we going to complete this mission, you ask?! With YOUR HELP, of course! We are looking for each one of you who is lit-up about what we are creating, to join us and do that part that lights YOU up! Opportunities from DJ’ing to carpentry and everything you can think of in-between are yours for the taking! We all have our special gifts and we hope you consider sharing yours to help us get chuggin’ down the tracks as soon as possible!

If we have enough people committed to doing the things that “light them up” within this venture, we can distribute our efforts to ensure this community enterprise isn’t a drag for any one person or entity, and Trempealeau Mountain Music becomes a truly cooperative, sustainable, co-creation of souls!
